Terms of Use
Last updated: 20/08/2026
By using the MAS Amanah website or secure portal, you agree to these Terms.
Authorised use
The public website provides general information. The portal is restricted to authorised users. Portal users must provide accurate information, protect their passwords and verification codes, use only their assigned accounts, verify information before submitting or approving it, and report suspected unauthorised access promptly.
Users must not access another person’s account, bypass security controls, introduce harmful material, create deliberately false records or use the platform unlawfully. MAS Amanah may suspend access where misuse, unauthorised activity or a security risk is reasonably suspected.
Portal services
The secure portal may provide payment support, invoices, receipts, account balances and a preliminary inheritance calculator to authorised users.
An M-PESA request is not considered a completed payment until confirmation is received from Safaricom and recorded by the platform. Users must verify the resident, mobile number and amount before initiating payment. An M-PESA PIN must be entered only through the official prompt on the user’s mobile phone. MAS Amanah will never request an M-PESA PIN through its website.
Invoices, receipts and account balances may be corrected where an error, reversal, duplicate entry or reconciliation difference is identified.
The inheritance calculator available through the portal provides preliminary estimates only. Its results are not a fatwa, legal ruling or final estate-distribution decision. Complex cases should be reviewed by a qualified scholar or legal professional.
Accuracy and responsibility
Information displayed by the platform may depend on records entered by users, participating Waqfs and third-party providers. MAS Amanah provides the digital platform but does not independently determine property ownership, resident entitlement, eligibility for assistance, religious rulings or disputed legal rights. Users and participating Waqfs remain responsible for their decisions and for verifying important information before relying on it.
Availability and third parties
Reasonable efforts are made to keep the platform secure, accurate and available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed. Availability may be affected by maintenance, internet services, hosting, email delivery, Safaricom M-PESA or circumstances outside MAS Amanah’s reasonable control. Third-party services remain subject to their own systems, terms and availability.
Limitation of responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, MAS Amanah is not responsible for loss caused by incorrect information entered by a user, failure to verify payment details, failure to protect account credentials, unauthorised or unlawful use, third-party failures, or reliance on preliminary inheritance calculations without appropriate professional review. Nothing in these Terms excludes any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
Future services
MAS Zakat and MAS Connect are not currently operational. Information about them does not constitute an offer, application, donation request, confirmation of eligibility or promise of assistance.
Privacy and governing law
Personal information is handled according to the Privacy Notice. These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Questions may be sent to info@masamanah.com.
